Online registration of 10-digit Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under Section 7 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992.
1. Statutory Mandate (Foreign Trade Act, 1992)
Under Section 7 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, no person or business entity shall make any import or export except under an IEC granted by the DGFT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
